Prostate specific antigen: is it still the best tumour marker?

Increasing the number of prostate cancer indicates the early detection of the disease, with combined diagnostic methods: rectal digital exam and PSA measuring. Over the age of 50 males must be examined yearly. Patients have to be informed about the benefit of screening and that only the early detected tumour can be cured.
