The preeclampsia is one of the most important obstetrical medical conditions with a high foetal and maternal morbidity and mortality. One of the causes of the disease is poor trophoblastic invasion, which leads to a restriction in the utero-placentar circulation. There is no certain non-invasive investigation yet, which could predict this condition. The aim of the study: We investigated the role of the Doppler ultrasound at the early tracking of the preeclampsia. Material and method: We investigated patients with preeclampsia from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic I Târgu-Mureş, using the color Doppler method aiming the flow curve on the uterine arteries. We estimated the persistence of the early diastolic notch and the resistance indices, correlating the data with the data about birth and the state of the foetus (caesarean index, prematurity, foetal hypotrophy, Apgar score). Results: The rate of the early diastolic notch and the values of the resistance indices presented a good correlation with a great rate of caesareans, prematurity, small birth weight and the state of the foetus at birth. Conclusion: The Doppler ultrasound on the uterine arteries level may give us important relations about the evolution of the disease and the possible complications. The persistence of the early diastolic notch after 23-24 gestation weeks may indicate the development of preeclampsia.
