An analysis of cases with acute heart failure – hemodynamic features and precipitating factors

Written by Kocsis Ildikó, Frigy Attila, Caraşca Emilian

The study presents an evaluation of main characteristics of acute heart failure cases (83 patients) admitted in a 6 month period. We put emphasis on analysis (in concordance with the ESC guidelines) of hemodynamic profile and of precipitating factors, both having an important role in determining the treatment and prognosis. We observed a dominance of clinical severity class „wet an warm”, with relatively good therapeutical chance and prognosis. The most important precipitating factor was the lack of therapeutic compliance, a factor which could be ameliorated by a more efficient patient-doctor-family communication.
