Written by Tuka László

The pharmacies and drugstores in Romania in 1936 were distributed unequally in provinces, counties and localities. At 100,000 inhabitants, below country average (8.4), was the number of pharmacies in the Old Kingdom and Basarabia, above average being Transylvania and Bucovina. The most drugstores were in Basarabia. The most localities in which there were found pharmacies were in Ardeal. Also, here were the most cities with a pharmacy under 3,000 inhabitans.
