The 1, 4-Dihydropyridine derivatives present a special importance among the calcium antagonists. For our comparative studies we have selected formerly used or recently introduced 5 compounds (nifedipin, nimodipin, nitrendipin, nisoldipin, azelnidipin). The object of our studies is the identification of the structural differences of these derivatives, using the TLC and UV spectrophotometric methods.
