Statin therapy in the everyday practice: data and lessons

After a short introduction about the principal charactersistics of statins (mechanism of action, pharmacological properties, clinical value) the study presents the essential data about the customs of statin use in our clinic. The main conclusion of our survey is, that there is a need for a more differentiated (both quantitatively and qualitatively) approach to statin use in the everyday practice: the right statin for the right patient.
