The first part of the study makes a presentation of the Genersich family’s genealogy. The second part deals with the life and work of Antal Genersich (1842-1918), the founder of the Anatomical Pathology Institute in Cluj. We put a special emphasis on the period of 25 years he spent in this town. We further analyze his outstanding activity within the Transylvanian Museum Association. The third part offers an overview of the work of Antal’s nephew, Gusztav Genersich (1865-1921), the founder of the Children’s Home and Children’s Clinic from Cluj.
