The treatment of iatrogenic ureter injuries

Written by Hamvas Antal, Romics Imre

Iatrogenic ureter injuries are not common complications neither in surgery nor in gynecology or urology. This problem occurs 0,4-2,5% at open and endoscopic surgeries. Intraoperative diagnosis is often not easy and consequences like urinary leakage, fever and ureteric obstructions may be serious. Authors rewiew the possible diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and present two case reports of gynecological ureteric injuries.
